New G-Revolution Shmup announced.
Shumup developer G-Revolution have announced they have a new shooter in development, SeisouKouki Strania.
No home platform has yet been announced although bizarrely the G-Rev blog did initially state: “We’re not sure if this kind of game will work in today’s arcade environment. So for now the platform is undecided.”
This did seem slightly odd since one of the screenshots initially released had ‘insert coin’ on and then a few days later the game can be seen running on arcade hardware in these location test videos:
Whatever the host, a new G-Rev shooter can only be a good thing and I’m looking forward to seeing if this matches up to their previous efforts. Both Border Down and Under Defeat get regular playtime in my household; and if this effort is anywhere near as good I’ll be one happy fan.
