German Left 4 Dead 2 will have exclusive Counter Strike Weapons.

The German version of Valves zombie FPS Left 4 Dead 2 will have 5 unique weapons taken from Counter Strike. If a Player with a German Version of that game joins a multiplayer server there is a 50% chance that the weapons will be available to him and all players on that server.

The 5 weapons are the AWP Sniper Rifle, MP5 Submachine Gun, SG552 Rifle, Scout Sniper Rifle and the Knife. Whilst I would rather have the gore that the German edition of the game is losing, it’s a nice touch by Valve which recognises the loss of features that the German version will have. I would assume that similar plans may be in place for the Australian version but there has yet to be any official word on this.

There’s already some disgruntled voices emerging on the Steam forums about the extra and exclusive content, but given the cuts the German game has I think this is a shame.
